Sneaking In A Little Community Message..

Just taking time off from my busy busy busy no-life life to spread a little something to those of you who bother to read me.

I can’t wait to resume my normal life. (of vegetating in front of the computer and meeting up with friends for late night yamchas and burning money while shopping for clothes that are too small for me.)

Anyway, here’s a little community message on my part to ensure the younger ones among you to look into the options that you have when it comes to furthering your studies:

Tan Jay Sern of the Discover U.S. Education K.L. 2007 committee messaged me on friendster seeking my assistance in spreading the word about this education fair! When I was younger(like form5), I loved going to education fairs. 🙂 I guess most of you who are still in secondary school or are currently doing your foundation year would find this event very useful.

The American education fair that is wholly organized by a group of students,(including Jay Sern of course 🙂 ), to promote American education system to the Malaysian public. Alumni and current students from 67 top universities in America will be attending the event to share their experiences with prospective students and their parents! It will be at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre on 22nd July 2007 (Sunday).

Among the top universities present at the event would be Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology, Michigan State University, Purdue University, University of California-Berkeley(William Hung!!), Yale University etc etc… nothing that I could ever apply for when I had my A-levels results… ;\ Ah well, hopefully some of you eager younglings are far brighter than I ever was!

Hope you’ll find that shining light of education route blessing you come this 22nd. (sorry, I’ve become so lame because of my exam stress)

And here I am also doing my part to provide you guys with some Saturday night entertainment:

Jen’s college(INTI COLLEGE SUBANG JAYA!!) will be having a Talent Nite this Saturday and you’re all invited!!(if you have RM8 that is. Inti Students only have to pay RM5.)

The theme of the Talent Nite is Fusion Of Sounds. It will be held this Saturday(14th of July) at Inti College Subang Jaya from 6.30pm to 12am. There will be two categories: Band and miscellaneous.(hopefully this means dances and sketches? I like those. *blush*)  Apparently, there will be a human beatbox among the contestants. So watch out for that!

LOL..and according to Jen’s email to me, auditions have already been held so that means you’re getting good shit, yo! No karaoke failures or amateur harmonica players. Who plays the harmonica these days lah dei? 😀 ahhaha

OOoooo..Dragon Red will be performing. I’m sure those of you who are fans would be very happy. I shall go google them up to find out more about this band. *looks around innocently*

However, if you’re not into the local music scene as well, there’s another good reason why you should go: FREEBIESSSSS!!

Let the Malaysian in you take over as generous sponsors like Warner Music, Fruit Tree, Kanebo, Parker and Sony BMG have given the committee a lot of stuff to give away. Among the freebies are CDs, Creative mp3 player, limited edition merchandise from Warner Music and more.

And erm, this part a bit paiseh for me. Jen has generously offered my readers(honestly, you’re all mostly my friends.
