The Bus Crash No More blog has been set up to collect signatures for the petition and compile news clippings of the recent incident and all the false promises by our authorities and statistics of past bus accidents.
Blogs mentioning the incident are also compiled there.
Elections are coming. So this is the best time to push this to those who can enforce the change.
We have yet to decide properly who to send it to. But as mentioned, perhaps all bus companies(especially KONSORTIUM!), the ministry of transportation, hopefully the Prime Minister(we can only try) and other associated bodies. Let as many people as possible know that us bus riders are not happy. We are SCARED.
I know most of you have linked the previous post, please LINK buscrashnomore.blogspot.com. Let’s try our best to get as many signatures as possible. We need your full name and your ic.
Don’t let Nian Ning, Mohd Zailani and Poon Eng die in vain.
Put this on forums, bulletins, emails…whatever. Just put it out there!
Jolene, I’m sure your active participation in this matter will bring some change in our society (not nessecarily at government level, we must be realistic; but at the least improving awareness and empowering readers).
I don’t know who exactly i’m thanking you on behalf of, but thank you nonetheless.
me and little momo wish you here a happy rat year ahead….. hehe… I enjoy reading your blog for the past months, although I seldom leave msg in your blog but that doesn’t mean I don’t read them…
Anyway, have a great holiday ahead…
transportation companies protect themselves with exception clauses. it’s frustrating really, because it protects them but not the customers.
i’ll definitely link that site. i couldn’t believe the news when i heard it either. oh and i’m gonna link you too =)

How come before this 22 people died in the bus crash nobody BOTHERS to do anything like setting up a petition or something but when Lee Nian Ning died only there’s some action going on? Don’t get me wrong, i’m just trying to point out how ignorant some of us are, and to be fair enough people who died due to bus crash before this deserves some attention too, not just Lee Nian Ning.
jo: i don’t like your tone. it does take someone you KNOW to die before you can feel. When you can relate, you FEEL. It’s not our fault the media didn’t highlight the lives of each individual who passed away. When it happens more, you realise that something must be done. If that’s the case, why didn’t you start something up for the 22 people who died?Â
