What A Girl Wants Is An LG KF350 Ice Cream Phone!

Posted on March 6, 2009March 31, 2010 by Jolene

As you have probably seen in an earlier post, I was given an LG KF350 Ice Cream phone to play with and here is my review after a week of using the phone!

First things first, you’ll have to watch the super cute LG Ice Cream advertisement:

I was using this phone for the entire CNY period and thus I’ve been texting a LOT with this phone. I especially adore the huge keypads. I’ll never get tired of that.

Obviously, the number one reason any girl would love this phone is because it is in the PERFECT shade of pink! It would match so well with all the princessy things that we secretly own (some of us are quite proud to be all girly, i’m one of those girls!). My laptop is pink, my old pink camera went to the hospital and is probably kidnapped by the evil Lumix factory workers, my…wallet is pink, my spectacle box is pink, my cosmetic bags are pink… sigh the list goes on. The LG KF350 Ice Cream also comes in baby blue and white. These phones have been dubbed the Ice Cream phone as they look so adorable and edible! The phone comes in three delicious shades of pink, pistachio (baby blue) and white.

It comes with a 3megapixel camera (but I have problems installing the software hence I can’t upload photos to show you the quality), an FM radio which I could really use on the go, bluetooth, mp3 playing capabilities and a miniSD slot too! So you can easily expand your phone’s memory up to 2GB!

What I like most about the phone is the gorgeous pink cover that is all plasticky and unassuming when the phone is just lying there, being pretty.

Imagine the startled looks you’ll get when your pink gorgeous unassuming phone suddenly lights up when you snap it shut! Totally attention grabbing. ๐Ÿ™‚ We all secretly like to be attention seekers, don’t we? And in pink too!

So gorgeous! That’s a heart shaped emoticon! The phone totally has those deco den loving girls in mind.

The adorable LG KF350 Ice Cream feeling right at home. ๐Ÿ™‚

The Ice Cream phone in all it’s pinkish goodness!

Another thing that totally sold me was the soft pink glow radiating from the keypads. Usually harsh neon colours are used for the keypads. It’s a wonder how LG managed to get the light to be of a sweet shade!

The default wallpaper is of course ice cream related!

It might look like an adorable toy but once you hold it in your hands, you can feel that all too familiar weight of a sexy phone. You know what I mean? That needed weight to make a phone desirable.

And this is where the microSD goes in!

On the left side is where you insert the earphones(to listen to the radio) and the charger. The volume buttons are at the side as well.

The bottom of the phone.

Personally, I felt that the menu could’ve been a tad bit more sexy, or if this phone is meant to pull at the heart strings of girls who love all things cute, the theme should be SUPER kawaii! Perhaps this can change if I can figure out if it’s possible to download themes for this phone.

There’s also the option of switching to grid style.

The LCD screen on the cover! It tells the time, tells you who’s calling, tells you if there’s an sms and you can even have adorable ‘wallpapers’ for your external LCD screen. It’s also one of those screens which looks like nothing’s there until something actually appears on the screen. When you close the cover, that patterned area lights up as well. When an Mp3 is playing, the light bops to the beat. How cute right?

The hearts are actually animated! Actually almost all the wallpapers can be animated. You can even design your own wallpaper!

For those times when I’m not in a good mood.

I think this was supposed to be an owl..

Awwwwww..my LG Ice Cream phone is in love!

There was even a pig emoticon!! <3

This is what you see during start-up.

Sudoku makes for good company!

I’m really happy that I managed to download opera mini and I can do my online banking on the go and also check my email (like every other hour..T_T)

The opera mini works like a charm on this phone.

The 3megapixels camera look promising as well! I’ve still yet to figure out the configurations to send MMS. sigh sigh.

Nice right?:D

Even the video function is not too bad.

I was told that I would be getting the phone since December and I’ve been really excited! Kept scouring blogs to read about this phone… I even came across this blogger who blinged her entire LG Ice Cream!

The phone is retailing at RM799. Quite a bargain for a gorgeous accessory PLUS a fully functional phone. What more can a pink loving, princessesque girl probably ask for? White fur lining the phone? Actually I kind of want that.

I even made a video review:

Hi! I just ordered this phone and I cant wait for it to arrive!! ^^
but I got a question.. can you copy text from websites? and can you use languages like korean/chinese/japanese with text messaging? for example.. you copy รญยยฌรซยฆยฌรฌล ยครญฦ’ห† from a website, and then paste it in a text message? Hope you can mail me the answer! ^^
