Seems that the RM20 I spent on the Broken Bridges CD didn’t go to waste. I still love all the songs in the musical and I can actually sing along to it too. Nothing beats singing the high pitched notes of “Ming Ko Ko” at 3am without anybody laughing at you while you feel guilty about playing the comp and not studying instead.
There’s another production which Douglas Lim will be in. Sigh, I’ll be missing out on that one. Some more it’s supposed to be like a comedy. Surely most of you local-arts-scene-loving folks would’ve heard of Broadway Parodies by now. Go and enjoy yourselves for me please. π
I also found something that might ease the pain…He’s so funny! *heart* *Heart*
As the month of May draws to an end, I will know for sure that Douglas Lim is officially married.
*holds candle in hand and looks down solemnly*
Just kidding lah, I wish them the very best! Desmond, you get your brother pissed drunk okay! Like his scene in Homecoming where he and Juliana Chuah(Joey) stood on the table yamsenging.
Two weeks back, Mel, Mun Teng, Elaine and Sue Ann went to Maison. Without me. I KNOW! So sad right. π What would’ve been my first visit to the club(but apparently it’s mostly a place for the younger ones? Where do older people hang out? Am I still in the young ‘uns category? hm?) saw me riding home huffily in a double decker bus from Kedah. It was too late to join them by the time I reached KL.
I made them promise that they would take photos with me. As a sign of respect. Or for laughs. Whatever. π
And the funniest part is that they really layaned me.
So empty one the club? They said it was quite quiet that night. And there was no cover charge! BAGUSLAH!
Melody motions to the imaginary me.
Mun Teng and imaginary me are best buddies yo!
Elaine tried to get the imaginary me drunk. Naughty, naughty!
The imaginary me and my girlfriends had a blast. Apparently.
Sue Ann getting jiggy with the imaginary me.
And when Elaine sent me the photos, I had to immediately dutifully do my part!
Try and guess which photo is for which before scrolling all the way down to the end results.
Many thanks to Lie Yuen for helping me to take these photo! LOL.
I’ve got imaginary kawanz too.
Groovin’ to the imaginary music. I’m so sad right.
Guess whose boobs I’ll grope?
Tralalalallaa~!
Agogo! *wobbles head*
LOL, alright, forgive my photoshopping skills.. but you would have to agree that for someone as noob as me, I’m getting quite good with the software!
I wonder if Sue Ann had this in mind. Hahaha.
I’m most proud of this photo. π At a glance you won’t even know that I photoshopped it right. Albeit the colour abit off.. I can’t mimic the same neon-ness glow la.
Another one of my better ones, save for the hand. Hahahahaha. The cup positioned so well somemore right. I don’t know whether to puji my skills or puji their creativeness.
I know my right arms look missing. But it’s supposed to be her hair covering. Doesn’t look convincing right?
And see the hands around Mun Teng’s shoulder? THAT’S MY HAND!! haahhaha. Don’t want to tell you how I do. π Secret!
Mel presents her embarrassing best friend who dances like its the 70s. Learn from daddy one ma what to do.
MUN TENG’S THE LUCKY BABE!!
I’ve got two good news to share!(well, if my other problem is resolved, life would then be perfect…)
Firstly, I won a free session with Marie France Bodyline!!! WOOOOOT!! All it took was an sms to a contest publicized in the Star. π I’m going back next weekend for my free consultation… and then I will do the treatment in August when I have ALOT of time.(read: done with finals).
The second good news is that I’ve found all the games I played on my sega console. Remember those cartridges that you had to ‘chap’ into your console and blow if they don’t play well? I really missed playing those. Found out that you can actually download this thing called emulators. And they emulators of all kinds! Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Atari(Atari was my father’s time! He’s actually keeping his console to this very day! I remember playing some really boring games on it when I was a kid.) And don’t laugh at me if you already know, but I must explain to the others also what roms are. They are files which you can play on your emulators. I’m DAMN HAPPY!
Disney’s Interactive Aladdin!!:) My cousin brother Yong Yong downloaded it into our computer. It was still running on DOS at that time. This was back in 1996, when he was staying with my family while doing his A-levels at Taylor’s.(Sigh, time really flies. Now my brother is doing A-levels there. When my cousin was here, my brother was only in kindergarten.)
I’ve been hunting for this game for years. I went into alot of game shops and asked if they had the game on PS. Since form four(that time was PS one), then in form five(PS2)..then in first year of dentistry when I found out about the wonderful world of emulators. But the graphics and versions were just wrong. Finally I found the exact version. π
Imagine, after 11 years, I finally found the game again. While playing through all the stages, I could remember the jokes and tips my brother and I shared while playing the game together. He was only a punny 7 year old at that time. And we would laugh whenever we died at the Lava stage. Hold our breath together at the Cave stage.
I asked him to download the game for old time’s sake. He was like, “WHAT?!! NO!!!!” and promptly went back to play his Dota. Games with horrible pixels just don’t cut it for him anymore.
π I want my 7 year old damn layan brother back. Sniff sniff. This 18 year old one is not fun.
One of my favourite games in those 14857394-in-one cartridge type of games..:) Balloon fight!!!
Circus Charlie. Damn cute okay. At age of six, I couldn’t get pass the pony spring stage. At the age of twenty, I *STILL* cannot get pass the pony spring stage.
ICE CLIMBER!! π Damn kan cheong game. The seals are always rebuilding the broken bricks.
And of course, my first great love. The game I used to play while my mum/maid/grandma fed me dinner/lunch when I was in kindergarten. The game I played non-stop during my standard 2 year end holidays. The game I played later on with my brother’s Gameboy Advance while pangsaiing in the toilet. π
Lie Yuen felt hungry just now at 11.45pm.. and so we headed out to the mamak with our books. I went there in my pyjamas. Damn liberating!
See, so hardworking. Have to lah, got practical exam on Monday. And wtf am I doing now? π I’ll still study after I blog this.
It looked great, but it doesn’t taste so good.
Hmm Maison is one of “the” happening places to be in nowadays, as some say. I love the settings, walls and furniture there, its very unique
ooo I also loved Ice Climber and Circus charlie……the theme songs are playing in my head now *humming*
jo: hahaha then i must try to be happening also when i go home to KL. π i didn’t really looove ice climber, preferred Circus Charlie!
–
OMG I know ALL of those games!! I can still remember them so well, it’s as if I just played them last week! (But noo… the last time I played those games was like, probably more than 10 years ago!).
Ice Climber was quite difficult to win, I think I only won like less than 10 times (ever!). Balloon fight too, I remember moving my whole body towards where I wanted that balloonist to go – haha.
jo: did u complete all the games? bwahhaha..
HAHHAHA why u so cute one, *imagines young david aggressively playing Balloon fight*

Oh, I thought my mates here who suggest studying in the pub is just insane… Well, studying in the mamak stall!!! R u sure you can concentrate in the midst of the loud crowds and TV?? Haha, for me i prefer not to bring my notes to the stalls as the teh ais might stain my notes too!! Haha…
jo: hehehehe…. well my handphone cover DID terkena some egg… so quite ew..:D can la. quite fun also.
–
Well, basically this is what you can do to mimic the neon-ness.
Create a layer with the layer with the colour of the neon lights, then overlay over your own pyjamas clubber face, and change the opacity until you get what you want.
jo: wah pening aku. your kungfu too advanced.ΓΒ
–
