It was definitely great to be on a night out after a long time. Even though I had only 15 minutes to shower and do my makeup before picking the rest from their respective homes. Damn Federal Highway 5.30pm jams! *shakes fist*
I’m not sure if I should be amazed at my speed makeup skills. One day I must sit in front of the mirror to brush up on my make up skills. I used to have people asking me for advice about make up. I know, go ahead and laugh. This was in my golden years when everyone just dabbed some purple powder on their eyes and they are good to go. Kidding lah, I’ve never had any golden years. Not even rusty metal. 🙁
It was Kwo Kuang’s birthday on the 2nd of August and his family and girlfriend, Chui San, organised a surprise party for him at Souled Out. I was very happy because the last time I attended a gathering there, I had to tail Adrian’s car and kena kutuked for driving so slow. Now I can drive there in half an hour without getting lost. I is teh epitome of teh anti-women driver stereotype!
We were the first to arrive(safe for Kwo Kuang’s sister, Su Yin. She was stationed there to take charge of the situation at Souled Out while Chui San tried to persuade Kwo Kuang to come to Souled Out for dinner.).
What better way to save time, right?
L-r: Mel, Mun Teng, Me.
The guys l-r: Chun Guan, Yijin, E-Guy and Barry.
l-r: Suet, Mel, Mun Teng, Me.
Pan-cute.
Mun Teng smells so delicious.
Yes, we were still waiting and showing off nice hair.
Chun Guan pretends to be coy while Yijin is always ready to smile for me. Such a sweetheart. 🙂
Barry and E-Guy shares a light moment. ..lollol.. I sound like one of those stupid newspaper/magazine when they have a photo of two VIPs smiling and exchanging words.
Our food arrived and Kwo Kuang hasn’t even arrived yet! Here, E-Guy is sad that he can’t devour his delicious plate of… well, plate of whatever he ordered. Yijin was being Yijin. He never stops trying to embarrass poor E-Guy.
Suet’s yummy Salmon pizza! What a genius of a dish. I wish I ordered that though! Mm!
Someone’s bored.
FINALLY HE ARRIVED!!!
Some Souled Out tradition or something.
This is the part where we sing the Happy Birthday song to Kwo Kuang, while Su Yin presents him with the cake.
Everyone turns to the star of the day.
Kwo Kuang shows his gratitude. Yijin’s face damn cute here right? Like so innocent like that. LIKE. I said, LIKE.
HAHAHA Look at Chun Guan’s face. He can’t even let one of his best friends give him a big kiss. Tsk.
E-Guy, the victim. Again.
Let’s go around the table….
L-r: Kay Hong, Elaine(Kay Hong’s gf), Mel, Me, Mun Teng, Kwo Kuang, Chun Guan, Yijin, E-Guy and Barry. Oikz, Suet Li, where were you?
Everyone, this is Soon Seng! We go wayy back to our Interact Club days. He was the Interact Club president of SMSJ, a sister club. This guy has got a very very cute sense of humour. It’s very different from your average 21 year old. It has got this knowing the ways of the world kind of thing yet masked by adorable innocence. That’s why whenever I drop by his blog I’m like stuck there giggling for ages.
Wah..so many people. Okay, slowly.
l-r: Barry, Suet, E-Guy, Chun Guan(?), Elaine, Kay Hong, Me, Chui San, Kwo Kuang, Yijin, soon Seng, Mel, Mun Teng.
L-r: Elaine, Suet, myself.
l-r: E-Guy and Mel.
WHY whenever I cuddle up with a girl, I always end up playing the man’s role?!
This photo is wrong on so many levels.
That’s a better one.
When you look from Suet, Mun Teng then to me right, it’s like the failing level of Pan-cuteness.
Here we are demonstrating the do’s and don’ts of tall and old girls. Number 1: Do not bounce your index fingers of each other, thinking you’re very cute. Cis!
One photo with Su Yin before she heads off.
Oh. Someone’s very proud of his cushion spinning skills.
Sorry ya, we don’t put on make up and wear decent clothes for nothing okay.
We must have variety in life.
Finally, a photo of Chui san and I.
The stupidest photo to date, perhaps. And Suet thinks she looks the nicest in this photo when Mel is like only 1/20th visible, Mun Teng looks like she’s sucking on a sweet and my hair is all you can see.
l-r: Mel, Mun Teng, Suet and I and Chui San.
Here are some of Kwo Kuang’s friends from Nottingham!
L-r: Tony, Sue Ann, Joey(?), Li-Lynn and Yenli
I’ve heard of Sue Ann since my A-levels days and I didn’t know that she in turn was reading my blog!! It was damn funny because her boyfriend(Tony) asked me stuff about myself and she could answer for me. Damn cute!
Li-Lynn is my kindergarten classmate. 🙂 She was one of the smallest and the cutest in the class, I remember. However, she revealed to me that she played the role of a guy in our Happy Together 50s-themed dance number. Same here! We both had short hair at that time. Plus we were both taller than our partners. It’s damn depressing one lah. The other cuter girls get to wear pretty yellow dresses with matching headbands, while we were put into mini tuxedos complete with bow-tie. 🙁 No little girl should ever have to go through that.
While we were reminiscing about our kindy years, she told me that she had this prominent but vague memory of a few of us sitting in class. I was sitting at a table(among many many connected tables). A boy spilled his bottle of water all over the table. I started shouting, apparently.
Sounds like a dream. Hehe.
My memory of us was when we crowded around someone’s music class book and sang “If You’re Happy And You Know It Clap Your Hands..”… 🙂
Haih. And it’s pretty amazing that I get to meet my kindergarten classmate again. Actually we bumped into each other when we both attended John Quek’s chemistry tuition back in 2002.
An emo couple photo. Elaine! You weren’t doing it right!
A couples’ photo! I forgot to include Sue Ann and Tony.
Lala pose! Wah, by the end of the night, Chui San and I were on boob-poking terms already. That’s very good. A blossoming friendship.*cough*
Inilah kebangaan kebangsaan. (Note the jalur gemilang motive above his head)
I forgot what we were tulan-ing about.
Honestly, this photo is by chance. I didn’t realise that Suet Li looked like a mutated reindeer in this one! Damn cute!
Mel is SUCH a pro at posing. She just leaned back, just in time for my shutter to go off and a beautiful picture is snapped.
And that’s Weng Hoe, perhaps the only photo I have of him. I’ve heard alot about him too! Very funny guy. But I hope I didn’t make him feel weirded out when I told him that I heard that he was a very funny guy etc.
here’s a photo of Li-Lynn and Me.
A few of us went off to McD’s(I KNOW AGAIN!!!ARGHHH!! I only ordered a small coke okay, didn’t even buy anything to eat.) Chun Guan is reading the physiology textbook that Adrian wanted to borrow from me. He was reading about the correlation between smoking and lung diseases. Hahaha, damn funny! When he was done, he actually felt a little scared and worried.
Yijin’s being juvenile.
Adrian arrived shortly after.
The rest were being very juvenile too. -_-
On Friday, Mel, Mun Teng and I decided to have a little look-see around Summit. As we all know, it’s the Subang equivalent of Sungai Wang.
Mun Teng being the fickle person she was, decided last minute that she wanted to join us(though it was her who suggested the trip!). So, we had to go up the USJ2 bridge to cross over to wait for her. (It’s not funny to make many many u-turns and trips around Subang.)
I’ve always liked how quiet and quaint this bridge is. It’s so secluded.
Mel brought her Johnny Bravo umbrella along. It gave her the perfect excuse to ask us if we wanted to stand underneath her umbrella. To which Mun Teng and I sang, “Ela ela eh eh ela ela..” ..*shivers.* I hate Rihanna.
While waiting for Mun Teng. This is what I do, okay? It’s good to put my impatience to good use.
Finally her majesty arrived. The car was full of her boyfriend’s friends and apparently they said, “Woh! Got two hot chicks on the bridge!” That sentence is damn funny. You don’t find girls our age lepaking on an overhead bridge anywhere in Subang. Maybe only on Merdeka Eves. Why, all the better to see the fireworks with, my dear!
While Mel is quite used to receiving compliments, I must say, it was very kind of Mun Teng’s friends to do a little charity work for me as well. Awww. *smiles*
Silly Mun Teng running up the stairs.
Let the “window shopping” begin!
RM30 for this midnight blue-turqoise top! Decent and great with a gold belt. Though I’d like to get myself a stiffer material for the belt.
One of my favourite shops in Pyramid.
They have all this areas placed randomly around without a proper lot.
Mun Teng was trying on a pair of shorts.
I feel like I’m promoting Summit.;\ The locals should really give Summit a chance. But I have to say, it’s not as run down and boring as it used to be. Cheap clothes are in abundance. Some are so cheap and ugly that you feel like ripping it into pieces. But if you have an eye for these kinda things, you might find a treasure amidst a whole lot of crap.
When you get a little bored, you can have some fun with the totally ugly clothes on display.
See, fairy skirt made out of netting from a florist and a see through itchy polka dot top. Horrendous!
A purple stripey shirt to cover up and a leopard skin belt just because belts are trendy.
Mel and Mun Teng re-enacting the Spidey Pig scene. Spidey pig~! Spidey pig~!
With the umbrella and the shades, Mel was pretty convincing as a blind person.
And this is the highlight(pun not intended) of our day! Mel and I saw these sparkly bikinis going for RM15.90. No doubt material for those god-awful 2 star hotel singers. We touched the material and were amazed that they were pretty okay in terms of quality! We were so amused because we were really contemplating on buying.
We could form a non-English speaking girl band and score ourselves a number 1 hit.
I think I have the lyrics here.
“EH SPARKLE SPARKLE, EH SPARKLE!
Oh Oh OH OH! La la Sei oh! Sei Oh! Wa sa le ah ma sa le le…
EH SPARKLE SPARKLE, EH SPARKLE SPARKLE,
YOU SO SHINY ME SO HORNY..
EH SPARKLE!”
And then when we burn out, we’ll do remakes of that Ketchup song and maybe if we’re really desperate, Macarena.
Our girl band members will have really rad names like RoboTeng(who wears the silver one), Goldmember(mine!) and Fe-Tish(Mel’s taking the black one. Yeah, I just came up with it for you.). Fe-Tish as in a whip lashing or if you’re so witty and all that bla bla you can take it as a word play too.
It took us DAMN long to convince Mun Teng to take the silver one.
Hahaha we went home to her place to camwhore with it. Damn funny. Her brother Jee King was about to go out for basketball and it was all a little bit awkward when we realised he was still outside waiting for his friend…after we’ve paraded around in the shiny bikinis with the camera on self-timer mode. Ho ho ho. No photos here! The girls would kill me! Bwahaha.
The Dahlings will have their eyeballs burned soon. I’ll upload the pics in you-know-where, babes. 😉
eh, why nowadays so many ppl kutuk on the “bounce index fingers” action.
i wanna buy your camera! why do i look better in the pics taken by your camera?? NOT FAIR T.T
