So I woke up at 12.00pm again, today. (Ya, must start like that one.)
It was a lazy Sunday morning(in the sloppy world of Jolene Lai) and the aroma of pasta floated up the stairs. I went downstairs to see Cze-Yin cooking our lunch for us. “Yay, no need to drive out for lunch,” I sang, and hopped back up the stairs to continue cataloging my stickers.
The clock read 1pm. I told myself, “In awhile, I shall study.”
We all know how that would possibly turn out. *dramatic eye roll*
After a nice and slightly sourish lunch (too much tomato, Cze-Yin:P), I continued with my sticker business(as in the process of fiddling with the stickers, not that I got any business today 🙁 ). At 2pm, Angela called to tell me that she would be coming over with the hamster cages that she promised to me eons ago.
Her boyfriend used to have a special room for his hobby – which is to rare hamsters. I thought it was rather cute, like a nice little hobby to come home to after a long day of hospital rounds. Hamster cages, most probably like the ones I have, tiny enough to carry around, to prop on the table, to bring home on long holidays in my Myvi.
I gawked at the first cage she brought out of her car. “Nah! Sorry about the delay, had to wash it before bringing over,” Angela said, in her usual helpful manner. She’s always so nice! The cage, however, looks like something a cat wouldn’t mind. SO BIG!!
I started laughing when she took out another three more cages, although slightly smaller..the only way I can describe to you how the cages look like is of course by taking photographs. BUT I DIE DIE WANT TO USE WORDS. CAN RIGHT? *lanci face*
A Hamster condo. That’s what. A Hamster bangalow, a hamster Rumah Panjang and two Hamster condos.
Two tiny houses so the 1st and 2nd hamster wives can live separately. The man of the house will visit his two wives whenever he likes.
I am a little overwhelmed but am of course extremely grateful!
At this rate, I think I’d probably be mass producing hamsters. Not just having a hamster farm.
The business will not be called “Got Ham?” anymore. It’ll be “Got ham. Please take.” Seriously, I can just imagine what it’ll become. But it would be so fun to watch the many many hamsters running around, mating and stuff.
And so the afternoon dragged on to the evening, and I was still cataloging my stickers. It so DIDN’T help when I got addicted to Mario 3-on-3 (basketball game) on my Nintendo DS. Then it was dinner time. But just an hour before that, I managed to finish one topic, which is pretty good.
Cze-Yin made soup, so I drank soup before dinner. Yes, me drinking soup is of extreme importance and must be recorded so that my great grand children know that I drank soup on the 20th of April 2008. Big fucking deal.
Here’s the soup anyway:
Herbal soup! Very nice!
You can imagine me mind numbingly swiping out my camera and then point to the left and snap (photo of soup) then without missing a beat, point to the right and snap (hamster cage). My mundaneness p4wns your mundaneness.
As we were going out for dinner, Cze-Yin’s car died on her. My spanking new Myvi came to the rescue with its equally new battery. On this day, my Giant Tooth had its first jump start experience ever.
We don’t need men around to do this shit. *burns bra*
Why am I thinking nipples. -_____-
l-r: Cze-Yin, Lie Yuen and myself. Are my new glasses okay? Too red? Too Cze-Yin-ish? Hahaha.
After two chapters of something to do with the heart (so fast I forgot what I studied..hahah), I smsed Chee Kiang to see if he is safe and sound back in Malaysia. He was! He was on his way to the SS15 McDonalds Drive Thru when I smsed him. To study it seems, as his house is under renovation.
When he settled down, he sent me another sms telling me that the place was full of students. Some students poring over their books, some talking, some smoking. I texted back, “So you feel like you’re right at home eh? Like back at NUS hor?”
And he said, “No leh, all these people are doing foundation stuff. I’m reading extremely specific material!”
“Haha, yes dear. Of course you are. So am I! Sure feels good to know that we are studying specific things when we are in university.”
And together we scoffed at the basic-ness of foundation studies. Damn funny to be lanci for no reason at all. Just feels nice to know that you have a book open and you have your brain trying to comprehend complex drugs’ methods of action(in Chee Kiang’s case) and cardiac arrhythmias (me. Ya, now I remember what I covered just now. heh.).
I’m actually older than so many people who study around SS15. Woooow, <-- said in Hippy accent. But I don't feel old. *perplexed* Still feel that those people who hang around SS15 are, "Waaa..college students." then I smack myself and go "Hello, university students mean older people right? Wow for what?" Okay, I also don't understand what I am saying. 5am. One more chapter than sleep and then lunch time. Yay.
wah if i blog like your eat ship sleep week post, it gonna last from now until end of june. hahaha.
and you carry your camera everywhere ah? even in your house? O_o
jo: hahaha.. wah ur life so happening! 🙂
hahaha yeah, it’s always near me. I mean, i will definitely carry it along if I bring a bag out of the house.
