The classmates and I had a big trip to Redang some time back in April. Yes stop judging me, the lousy blogger. I’m a very very very busy (and lazy) person. Very busy.
Dinner was at my turf, the infamous steamboat buffet Yuen in Sunway. You know, the one with the roasted chicken drumsticks/wings which disappear within seconds?
Damn nice chicken.
Here are the two lovebirds Ivan and Poh Yee who pretty much wandered off on their own throughout the entire trip.
Sett and Ah Thong approve of the restaurant.
Zhu Zen and the mussels.
LOL Cze-Yin and her vegetables foreva! And Ee Chean.
Why these people all so pale one.
l-r: Jimmy, Sock Nee, Pei Szi and Brenda.
Nyum nyum nyum!
We sent Jimmy to standby at the chicken table so that we could grab as many pieces as possible. Survival of the fittest! (The Aunty there more fit than Jimmy. So fast got her chicken already.)
Here’s something for the rest of you who have never been!
Jimmy being stupid and showing you the awesome mint chocolate chip ice-cream.
For the first time Cze-Yin is more gross than me.
We had to wake up at an insanely hour of 4am in the morning for the 5am bus ride to LCCT from Poh Yee’s place.
Andy still sleeping.
Who more sexy? Brenda or Andy?
I think the title goes to me.
L-r: Maxis, Thong, Myself, Zhu Zen.
l-r: Myself, Ivan, Poh Yee and a sleepy Sett.
Wah so fast in the plane already rite. l-r: Brenda, Cze-Yin and myself.
My neighbours l-r: Sett, Andy and Zhu Zen.
Borrowed Sett’s glasses and used my pario to take some pictures:
A Datin getting caught by the paparazzi.
Slutty secrety spy.
Oh what a surprise to see you!
Being a diva1
Do the Dawn Yang!
Ah Lian Aunty on China tour.
The savvy hau por look. YouΓΒ know, a hau por who knows how to work it wtf.
Tai kor face.
Lanci Tai Kor face.
And lastly, the retard. Thanks Brenda for snapping these pics!
Jimmy looks like he stepped out from some fantasy story book. Something up Johnny Depp’s alley.
Arghhh get him away from me!
Class photo plus weird stranger on handphone.
Don’t know why Ivan looks so shy here! Poh Yee must be the aggressive one.
While waiting for our ferry.
Hi Cze-Yin!
Cze-Yin and myself looking nice!
Jimmy and Brenda.
We were waiting for the tram that would bring us to the lobby. So pampered!
L-r: Zhu Zen, Ee Chean, Jimmy.
Not Poh Yee’s best photo, lol.
All geared up for our three days in the sun!
The video man who never shows us his videos.
The weather on the first day was pretty disappointing. It actually started raining when we went for our first snorkeling trip. Oh yeah, we went to Laguna Redang. That is my third time there… and apparently it still is a favourite among most people who visit Redang.
The welcome drinks have never changed since I last went backin 2004 and 2006. Tasty sour plum juice! But Laguna is crazy, they charge RM5 for that drink when we ordered it again the following day.
We finally could lie down for a bit in the hotel room. Well, maybe just me. Was waiting for the rest to get ready so that we could frolic on the beach.
Zhu Zen in our beach uniform.
Sett, before we headed to the beach.
If you’ve got a slutty dress, the only place to wear it is on the beach. Made the mistake of wearing one for a Liss’ parents’ wedding anniversary. Was ridiculed by the gang endlessly. “Your boobs were staring at me, so it’s only polite to stare back.” – Adrian. Thanks, man.
Andy grabs his sexy ass.
Posing with the owner of the sexy ass.
The first to shed his clothes.
Ee Chean and the super white sand.
My first photo on the beach! Looks damn cloudy right? Sucky day.
In the water already. I’m really really glad I bought the DiCapac underwater casing for my camera. Such a better alternative compared to the fortune I spent on those bloody disposable underwater cameras 3 years ago.
One of the many mad photos I have of Jimmy from the trip. π Stupid Jimmy!
Hahahha check out those lines on his face. It’s a skill man.
yaya.. 5 months who want to be god mum fuck u.
Got the boys to go underwater while I tried my camera.
A bit murky, but the quality gets better later on. Maybe that time the fishes just took a group dump.
Check out the grumpy one in the center!
Jimmy, Sett and myself taking a dip before the first snorkeling trip.
Brenda.. with a cute boat bobbing behind her.
Sigh double chin.. but yeah! Nice underwater camwhore shot of myself. π
And that’s how clear the water was. π When I was there in 2004, my aunt dragged me up hiking in the hills. From one of the peaks, we could look down at the sea and it was so damn clear that you could even see the corals from way up there.
Nien has an underwater camera too! Her one is fully waterproof.. better than an underwater camera bag.
Brenda’s triumphant emergence from the waters of Redang.
Showing off my l33t self-taught gymnastic skills.
Triggered off a trend in the water too!
LOL. Side of my left boob can touch my right bum cheek. T_T A skill or do I have to go on a diet really bad? Don’t answer that.
I only just realized how small Jimmy’s feet are. Tsk tsk. Jimmy you know what they say about men and the size of their feet? π
Maxis being Maxis, lying on the beach enjoying the waves.
Joined by Andy and Jimmy, who claimed he was trying to be a beach angel. Why my friend so lame one. -_-
You’ll need to throw a hot chick in to sell something.
Gave Andy an impromptu spa session.
And used him as a joss stick holder.
HAHA birthday cake or what?
My masterpiece.
Maxis took a dump.
When you throw a bunch of dental students on the beach, you can see their artistic side coming out. Dentistry is after all the beautiful blend of science and art.
So straight wei their castle!
That’s the top view of my dick. Some one did a poor attempt of a pussy next to it. (Can you spot it?) Me thinks he has never seen one before. Heehee. Looks more like a slot on a coin box.
But little did I know, their grand castle was actually a really elaborate toilet. You’ll see photos of their extremely realistic toilet bowl complete with shit later. After playing on the beach, we went for our first snorkelling trip!
Xin Yi and Pei Zhi!
As you can see we were already slightly wet from the rain.
L-r: Cze-Yin, Sock Nee, maxis and Ee Chean. Ee Chean looks so cute here!
It was getting a little cold too.. what with the sea breeze blowing in with the rain.
We went ahead with our snorkeling trip anyway. We could not possibly let bad weather spoil our one and only beach holiday!!
The other half.
All geared up!
Check out the choppy waters.
Zhu Zen and myself. Not many underwater photos now because there wasn’t much to see in that part of Redang.
Gulping salt water with Brenda and Nien.
Nice almond eyes courtesy of snorkle goggles.
Angela clearly had some salt water in her eyes. But she can open her eyes underwater! Crazy woman.
Maxis being Maxis, trying to attempt the craziest underwater antics.
Ah Thong the underwater explorer!
Another fish species.
Not sure who this was. Could’ve been me. Got so slim or not my arms.. *fishing for compliments*
Sett goes deeper while Maxis checks for damages on his nipple.
I don’t know these boys can go so deep! Couldn’t go down no matter how I tried. I kept floating it up!
I can’t remember what he was pointing at. Haha.
One of my attempts at diving down. fail.
This was not really that spectacular.
We were treated to a paltry view of what could have been a very beautiful “christmas tree” – at least I think that’s the name of that particular coral.
Because of the strong waves and our rebellious sense of adventure, I got drifted over the tip of some rocks and received this gash to my knees. Blood was spilling down my shin. I showed it off!
nah, the finished product of their toilet castle.
Damn real right?? Hahaha.
After that first trip, we decided to check out the water nearer to our hotel. They did not disappoint!
With those colours, Chee Wen could very well blend in with them fishies.
Another attempt at going deep.
We didn’t have any food with us at that time so we followed some other guests who brought bread along.
Imagine all these fishes swirling around you.
Some of the fishes were startled to see me.
Eh, even Xin Yi was dressed for the occasion!
I think the spotted fishes are really beautiful.
Poor fish was kinda oblivious to that generous chunk of bread.
LOL. That fish has black lips! And it’s kinda pouty too. heehee.
My camera was kidnapped by one of my classmates and came back with pretty awesome photos. I like this shot. Rocks and clear water.
That’s where the fishes were thriving.
Even from way up you can see right down to the bottom. So damn clear!
How peaceful, right?
They explored a little further. Such an isolated part of the beach! But I would not have dared to play in any enclosed area. My skin crawls when i think of wading in waters and sliding up against mossy rocks. Ughhh.
A picture which shows the exact blueness of the water. No photoshopping done for this photo, though most of the other pics have been enhanced.
It was Cze-Yin, Zhu Zen (and Nien and Ee Chean who are not pictured here) who went away with my camera.
I spent the entire evening going snorkelling nearby!
I didn’t take much photos during the first night but Nien dragged me to get an airbrush tattoo done and so we had to have a picture of this.
We managed to convince practically everyone to get themselves temporarily inked. Obscenely expensive though for something that can only last up to one week.
Tramp stamp!
Another bikini for another day!
We smartened up on the second day of snorkelling. Stole quite a lot of bread from the buffet.. and I was caught. Damn it. Had to fork out Rm5 and was spoken to like a child. But for the sake of feeding the fishes, I shall swallow my pride.
Another rare shot of the lovebirds.
Andy making one of his faces again.
Maxis and 1/2 me.
l-r: Andy, Maxis and myself.
Ee Chean and Zhu Zen.
We did feel like illegal immigrants travelling on a wooden boat.
The gorgeous view of the open sea!
Since when was one image enough?
That’s a real Leatherback turtle!! And the water is mieral water blue!
Rich bastards heading towards Berjaya Hotel.
We were at Marine Park, one of the spots that you’ll definitely be taken to if you sign up for any snorkelling trip at Redang.
Ee Chean and Andy standing in the crystal clear water.
This was nothing.
Ohai!
Within moments, schools of fishes were swarming around me.
Poh Yee and Ivan. Poh Yee can’t really swim so she clung on to Ivan the whole time.
Looks like tiny bones at the bottom. Most of it were dead corals. π
There were still some corals to make the area look more like reef-like.
I think Nien’s tattoo was the prettiest!
This was a rip off which we still willing paid for despite knowing that it was a rip off. The guides would push you down and some other guide with an underwater DSLR will take a snap shot of you.
Maxis didn’t need no help.
I actually didn’t really like the way the guides handled us. They were persistent and rough.
Zhu Zen. I was like trying to snap pics of them as well because why pay RM5 for ONE photo when I can do the same for free?
Then it was my turn to be pushed down. Poor attempt.
Wish it could’ve been better.
Maxis pulling another one of his stunts.
Sett’s turn. Oh yeah, he had a tattoo too!
little bit of christmas coral at the bottom!
Sinking Sett!
LOL Sett will grant you 3 wishes.
Did some macro shots of the corals that I was swimming over.
So cute lah this fish! It actually has teeth!
One of the many table-like corals.
Zhu Zen was pushed down again for another shot.
Maxis wanted to explore that underwater cave.
But decided to pose. AGAIN.
If I’m not mistaken, this was Jimmy, who also wanted a shot.
This fish was easily 1 metre long. It’s damn huge. You could actually straddle it.
And ugly looking too!
And we saw a swordfish! Some of the others actually saw a baby shark but unfortunately i missed out on seeing some, again. π
This is one psychadelic fish.
Poh Yee and her darling Ivan looking sexy on the beach.
Haih, I’m so nice to Poh Yee, help her to take such nice shots. She didn’t realize that was a blob of water on the lens when she helped me to take this pic. π
OkayΓΒ lah can lah.
See, her photo is so much nicer. Sigh.
STILL FAIL!
On the way back, almost all of us sat out on the deck. It’s called a deck, right?
Camwhoring with the clear blue sea.
Angela and me. I think the salt water made my eyelids swell even more.
of course, the obligratory bikini shot with the tramp stamp!
Jimmy enjoying life.
Because I wanted to capture a very candid moment of my classmates having fun, it’s okay for me to look like an idiot.
Jimmy almost lost his life when he captured this shot. He was balancing on the edge of the boat. I think some of us were holding on to his legs.
Xin Yi and Chee Wen’s couple shot.
After lunch, it was time to head out to the beach, again. Most of us came back with scorched skin, but after the exam season, we’ve gone back to our original colour.
L-r: Nien, Zhu Zen, Brenda, Cze-Yin and myself.
Look at the colour tones!
Trying to dig Jimmy’s nose with a straw.
LOL all of us got our temp tattoos somewhere typically sexy, he decided to go with the spot where most bouncers chop on before you head into a club. -_-
Andy and his sour plum drink. Rm5 a glass!
Before we mustered up the courage to face the sun.
We basically took up almost all the decks on the beach.
Thankfully the weather was much better on our second day.
Excuse the photoshoot session.
Brenda’s turn.
The drink really adds effect to the picture! How often does one get to hold a drink and pose in the middle of the sea? Hardly.
One more. heh.
…
Pei Zhi and Xinyi bought fedora hats for the trip and they came in handy!
Andy and Jimmy chillin’.
I think I was attempting to do a jumping shot.
Upon landing.
Getting the rest in on it.
Needless to say, we had pretty unsuccessful jumping shots. This was the only nice picture of us.
We found an abandoned beach volleyball.
Brenda and I went to explore the other end of the beach.
There was actually a school of ikan billis swirling around my feet.
These are called barnacles right?
We made friends with some middle eastern guys who were watching their friend attempt a perfect dive.
Was quite worried that he might knock his head on the rocks or something.
While renting a kayak, we saw the resident squirrel dropping by for its afternoon snack. His name is Remy..or something.
Very tame fella!
The most regrettable activity, EVER. Never again. Damn fucking tiring. The waves kept carrying us out to sea and Brenda was screaming, “Turn back! Turn back!” There was nothing that I could do.
The rest were smarter, they chilled out after the volleyball game.
Check out the goofy looking fish in the background. Hehe.
I think the variety of fish got better and bigger at the other end of the beach. So colourful and big!
The water was much clearer to so it made for good underwater photography.
hahahhaa my prize photo. So many smiling fishes and one very grumpy one at the back.
We befriended a French baby! She was so adorable!
Like a life size doll!
Wonder what that round blue thing was. It was pulsating.
Brenda and I doing some underwater camwhoring.
A heart shaped coral!!
Love the sun rays that were coming in.
Like out of a scene from the Little Mermaid.
Ah Thong cut himself on some rocks. You can’t see the trail of blood in this photo.
L-r: Pei Zhi, Xin Yi, Sock Nee and Angela.
L-r: Zhu Zen, Nien and myself.
Ah Thong attempting some underwater acrobatics.
Jimmy the fetus.
Jimmy the Buddha.
LOL Andy damn sexy. Kinda looks like Ursula from Little Mermaid, squirting out ink.
And this is me.
Myself again! Loving the hair! And the other things.
Sett was trying to show us a dead crab.
Check out the dead crab!
eeee.
See?!! Crazy Angela can open her eyes underwater. So happy somemore!
Hahhaha look at Xin Yi.
Jimmy’s got a big yellow shlong.
The guys posing with my yellow flat.
l-r: Jimmy, Ah Thong, Andy, Maxis and Sett.
Jimmy damn sohai la.
I had so little time with my yellow float. π
What a struggle!
One of our favourite photos from the trip!
l-r: Pei Zhi, Nien, Sock Nee, Zhu Zen, Myself, Xin Yi, Cze-Yin and Angela.
Ee Chean’s turn on the float.
Cze-Yin took quite some time to climb onto the float.
Alas.
Taking her own sweet time..
Andy couldn’t wait for his turn and decided to make his own.
Ah Thong’s turn. Everyone had a turn with the float! Sharing is caring!
A happy looking Zhu Zen.
Candid shots are the best!
Trying to paddle!
The colour of the water gives the area a very ‘lagoon’ kind of atmosphere.
Xin Yi’s so petite she practically disappeared into the float.
Pei Zhi’s turn!
I pushed her out to sea, hehe.
Angela trying to get on board.
And she even knows how to pose well on the floating device too!
wah, this one true professional.
And this is of course, me being me.
π
I swear I was wearing something. Please open your eyes bigger abit.
Sett trying to make a jet ski out of my little float.
Sett and his trademark rock sign.
Finally Andy gets to go on the float.
Took a few more pictures on our last night. Myself with Poh Yee!
Ivan and I posing with the temporary tattoo menu.
Them popsicles were goood.
I curse the person who called me just as the camera snapped. Thanks for making me look more of a fucking retard! Xoxo.
Posing a top the famous More More Tea Inn.
They even had Pirates of the Caribbean cut outs for us to pose with.
We look like monkeys in this one. Especially Brenda and Cze-Yin!
We saw a lot of blue sand here. It’s like tiny blue sparks that go off in the sand if you rub the ground hard! It glows brightly for awhile before fizzling out. Ah Thong said that some of it actually bit his finger.
Maxis laid down on the beach to look at stars. We even saw a couple of shooting stars!! But my eye sigh is quite bad without my glasses, so I just assumed that I saw some as well. π
Half of them went back to their rooms and a few of us stayed up, trying to make the moment last as long as we could before we headed back to the clinics and toiled away. π
L-r: Sock Nee,ANdy, Ah Thong, Myself, Jimmy, Zhu Zen, Pei Zhi and Angela.
Breakfast was at an ungodly hour the following day.
But the bowl of delicious cereal pretty much made up for it.
And of course, the awesome sunrises that you can only find on beach holiday mornings.
At least we managed a group photo! The photo is glowing because there was some condensation on my camera lens. π
While waiting for our flight, I bought a roll of bubble gum.
Stuffed the whole thing in my mouth and blew a huuuuuge bubble that burst.
Bubble bukake!
I put up photos of me like these because I love you all. It is okay to love me back too. π
#$^#&)%#^$.. I spent almost two weeks working on this post. π SO TIRING.
lol unsuccessful jump shots i had so many of those! sometimes 10 times before we can get it right.
ps the toothy fish was soo cute!
jo: ahha but when the jumping shot finally happens, damn worth it.
ok reply to the rest tmr yeah, damn sorry. damn tired.

–
Hey! I enjoyed reading this post so much!!! I love the Datin look!! Hahaha
Your gash looks bad! Hope its better now?
And yes the toilet sand looks damn real! The black lipped fish.. so interesting, have never seen that before!
I also did the same thing when I went to Phuket.. Stole bread on the 2nd day but I stucffed everything in my bag Γ’β¬β with success! I think the hotel staff are quite used to this already.
You went so close to the fishesΓ’β¬Β¦ did you get bitten by them?
jo: ahhaha look like Datin or not?:P
got scar now leh..:( quite sad.
That’s why you must go Redang! Can see all kinds of things..lol. π
LOL at least they weren’t anal about it. ISH.
They did brush past me.. quite geli the feeling;P
