Semester 2 has just started for all of us dental people and like any module beginning, we’re cramping in all the fun we could possibly think of! Next up would be a shopping trip in Penang and watching a bunch of my guy classmates performing at Halo Cafe in Autocity, Juru.
As soon as we got back from our Chinese New Year holidays, we had a belated birthday gathering for Nien and Ee Chia.
The very kind of photo I like uploading on Facebook! One photo, many faces. The makes of tagging fun!
l-r: Brian, Nien, Brenda, Lie Yuen, Zhu Zen, Poh Yee, Cze-Yin, Me, Sock Nee, Pei Zhi, Xin Yi, Angela and Josiah.
Don’t la think we are all so Kelantan, got gender segragation all. The other guys arrived late!
Nien turns twenty-two!
Ee Chia who turns 23 is exactly a year older than Nien.
Poh Yee felt rather lonely last Friday as all her housemates have gone back to their hometowns. Guess who she decided to bunk in with? 😛 Furthermore, I bought a new bed that day and she insisted that we sleep together on the same bed. I woke up with a very bad backache…. I need my space woman! 😛
I was so nice..I even pulled my table away from the wall just so she can have some space to go online with me. I’ve yet to put up photos of my now (pink) bling bling lap top.
You can see the pink bling bling in the mirror. My room is so cluttered!
In a way it’s nice to have someone staying over for fun. We have long by passed those “Ooooh..let’s paint our nails together tonight and then give each other makeovers!” days. We’re now old ladies in our twenties.
Who would’ve thought? Last Saturday I managed to do one of the Happiest Things In Life – dressing up, right here in Sungai Petani! Foundation, kohl eyeliner, choosing the right shade of eyeshadow(shimmer? matte?), dabs of shimmer here and there and my new best friend: Fake eyelashes.
This only lasts for like half the night before I turn into a monster after sweating it out on the dance floor. It’s almost as if I’m some witch who puts on a mask before revealing her true self after the clock strikes twelve. I will bring oil control films and some essential make-up the next time. Oh, the embarrassment. -_-
Trivia: To find really horrible photos of the wicked-witch side of me, go to Ei Leng’s facebook to look for our clubbing pics.
Obligatory happy-dressing-up photos prior to a night out. Ei Leng has a lot in her own album too! I don’t doubt that Brenda and Poh Yee probably took a gazillion photos of themselves too before stepping out of their house. Not sure if Yii Ping is much of a camwhore like us. 🙂
The allocated drivers for the night were Maxis and Kenneth. One of them had a late dinner and hence we were delayed for nearly a whole hour. Watched the guys jam abit. Don’t quite understand what I was seeing though. That’s Tee Lun and Maxis by the way.
Faster take more photos before our hard work go to waste.
The year 2 boys have a heck lot of footwear. Actually I’m one to talk. My house looks like a mini shoe shop.(three racks, my friends, three racks.)
After picking Ei Leng, the three of us realised that we’re not ashame of our cheap but pretty bags.
L-r: Ei Leng’s RM8 bag from Village Mall, Poh Yee’s RM10 bag from Central Square and my GOLD RM5 bag from Central Square. 🙂 I want to go buy all the colours! Haha.
l-r: Me, Poh Yee and Ei Leng
We spent Saturday night at Mois; it was sort of an inter-batches outing though on a smaller scale.
l-r: Yii Ping, Chee Wen, Brenda.
Brenda and myself.
Kenneth and myself.
l-r: Samuel, Ei Leng and me
Adrian and Poh Yee
Maxis and Yii Ping
L-r: Samuel, Melvin, Me
Gotta love candid shots.
L-r: Me, Ei Leng and Samuel
Ei Leng and I doing the tango.
Mois got raided that night but us being us were of course clean and just chilled while the DJ called out names. It’s so horrible.. like everyone’s looking so pretty and drinking merrily and calling each other their sophisticated english names and then the lights came on and the DJ starts calling names from their IC like “Wong Bee Keong” or “Lim Siew Lan”… lolol Not making fun of their names but it sounds like we were getting our passports done or something.
I think I’ve finally learned to hold my drink. Just enough to sing “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” with the girls at the top of our lungs while pushing through the crowd, but not enough to do things that will make me feel like jumping off a building the next day.
Girls were let out from the club first, but fortunately the guys came out after awhile too. Didn’t do anything wrong what!
l-r: Yii Ping, Badrul and CY.
This Badrul here comes with a rather funny story. I was crossing the road with the rest of my coursemates and I knew someone was on my left and I thought it was Maxis. When I turned to my left and looked up, there was this happy looking Indian guy who said, “HI! I’m Badrul! Nice to meet you!”
Strange place to be talking to strangers…lol lol.
Turns out he was from England and is of Bangladeshi descent and is on a solo tour around Malaysia. He looks very Malaysian to me IMHO. Said he was 25 but I think he looks much younger than that. Anyway, we invited him to join us for mamak(something that he has not heard of). He ordered coke by the way. -__-
Though it’s a little shady when you start talking to random strangers from the street but he was surprisingly a decent boy who chatted merrily with every single person from our group. Poor guy must’ve been lonely, but it was rather big of him to be making conversations with random strangers.
Clockwise from left: Adrian, Ei Leng, Samuel, Poh Yee, Yii Ping, Badrul, CY, Me, Melvin, Brenda, Kenneth, Tee Lun and Maxis
Brenda actually put her Burberry bag on the mamak table. Wtf…At least I think it’s a Burberry bag.
L-r: Me, Adrian, Melvin and Brenda.
Another group shot.
My heels were killing me!
Screw it lah, feet then feet black lor. What to do?
One last photo to wrap up the night.
L-r: Brenda, Ei Leng and myself.
We’ve been meaning to go for a swim at the university’s pool for the longest time. And so, we finally did go for a swim on Tuesday. I almost forgot how good it feels after a long dip in the pool. Happy aches!
L-r: Cze-Yin, Zhu Zen, Lie Yuen and Poh Yee.
Strange that I felt it was far more bigger than the average Olympic sized pool! The water was also crystal clear which only means that the management ACTUALLY bothers cleaning the pool on a regular basis! I’m pleasantly surprised. 🙂 However, it only opens from 5pm to 7pm because they don’t want to turn on the lights after hours for fear of wasting electricity. Sheesh. I don’t do two swimming hours. If they do extend the hours then I can go back to doing 40 laps a day(the good ol’ days of 2004. Sigh.).
Also, each entry costs us RM3.
This is the first time I’m using my Dicapac waterproof camera bag in crystal clear waters. The previous time it was for the Langkawi trip. I’m just so in love portable camera accessories. Another great love of mine is the Gorillapod. All I’m waiting for now is a flying camera that comes with a remote control. That would make for good roller coaster shots!
Me hugging Poh Yee who doesn’t know how to swim.
Camwhoring underwater is so fun!
Maxis says that he can sit underwater.
L-r: Zhu Zen, Cze-Yin and Poh Yee.
Lie Yuen and myself. I keep forgetting to hold my breath when taking photos. Hence all the cow-like photos of myself. Grr.
l-r: Ee Chean and Thong.
This picture is damn funny. Hahaha. Ee Chean looks like he’s doing a 70’s dance move.
So clear that you can see the end of the swimming pool. I was at the mid-point of the pool by the way. It is THAT huge.
No one’s scratching their butt?
Thank god the ribbon works as a censor(as in censorship censor) too! Chau kong-ness!
It looks like I’m on holiday right. :\ Just another school day for me. Hahaha.
Ee Chean and a friend from the Medical faculty.
L-r: Thong, Ee Chean and aforementioned friend.
How do I label these photos? Meh, just enjoy the cool floating bodies.
Ee Chean looks like a mermaid here. Hahaha. He’s very seaweed-like underwater, I realise!
The underwater dental beings.
I didn’t know underwater photography can be this fun. If only I had my waterproof camera bag when I went to Redang. Sobbbb.
Hahahha I know I’m posting one too many underwater group shots of the same kind, but have a look at Zhu Zen! Haha.
A squinty me no thanks to the evening sun.
Juara Milo!
The rise of Thong.
Synchronized swimming.
Everyone wanted jumping shots and the camera woman was getting bored. Hehe.
Girls only! Except for the camerawoman and the other one who cannot swim(want to wear swimming suit only;P).
l-r: Ken, Melvin, Maxis.
Meet our lifeguard, Ken! He used to be Penang’s stateswimmer and is now working as AIMST’s lifeguard after his classes. He is also my junior and is currently pursuing his second dental year.
I think we’ll be swimming again this Friday. Unless I Come Moon, then well, too bad, the girls got to go on their own.
