Back when the both of us were only 5 minutes away from each other on Valentine’s Day, I used to play coy, thanked him for the roses from his Leo Club and went on like it was any other day. Mostly because we were preoccupied with our respective clubs’ Valentine’s Day projects.
We have not had a chance to spend Valentine’s Day together since we got together in December 2004. In 2005, he was still studying in Singapore. I’m all the way in no man’s land this year.
But I suppose when everybody reaches this age, education will pull us far far far apart. At least I’m grateful that I am not like my peers who are pulled countries apart resulting in a draggy long distance relationship.
So we had a pre Valentine’s Day dinner on Friday night.
Just a little camwhoring before I headed out.
He brought me to Starhill Gallery and we were supposed to go to this Danish bakery but it was not a restaurant so we went somewhere else for a proper meal. So we ended up at the Jake’s Charbroil restaurant as Western food’s the surface. Not too keen on Middle Eastern or Indian or even Korean.
Chee Kiang and I.
The prices are in the same range with TGIF’s and Itallianis but the food is really nice!
Since it’s not everyday that we have a reason to be in Starhill Gallery, we decided to roam about the designer mall. I think this is The Village Bar. Really cool looking lanterns were hanging from the ceiling and some of the chairs, if I am not mistaken, are made of glass.
HUGE HUGE lobsters were ready for consumption. Water trickles down the sides of the aquarium.
Chee Kiang posing outside the restaurant. Even the floor and its lighting is something to rave about.
Love the lightings. Good play of lights!
We just went around taking photos..:) This one was taken by a kind middle eastern lady.
Don’t you just adore the deco?
Before heading back to Subang, we decided to take a stroll along Bintang Walk. This photo was taken by a gweilo. Strange right, usually it’s the locals who take photos for tourists.
Professional camwhorer! This one was taken with a timer.
One of the corners along Bintang Walk.
An Ah Beng helped us to take this photo. See, our cameramen are multiracial.
I love KL by night. 🙂
Have you done your shopping yet?
Can you believe that this is the outside of a washroom?
These things turn the pipes. No kidding.
But it was a nice closure to my two weeks break. 🙂 Till the next time I am home.
Happy Valentine’s Day, dear! I love you!:)
