New Style For Photoblogging

Posted on March 12, 2006 by Jolene

I was messing around with photoshop and decided to watermark my pictures! Su-Hsien was telling me that with my new photoshopping style, I might get bombarded by Jasiminne for copying her style. If so, then people like Smashpop.net, Xiaxue.blogspot.com, kennysia.com and heck, even my own brother, luzzio.blogdrive.com will flame me lah! I have to watermark my pics. Half of the 31 photos in Kay Hong’s friendster are from my blog okay!

Anyway, I call my new style the anatomy book/biology homework style. What with the thin lines that come out to indicate things that you should know about. And the funky watermark font with the quirky webding. 🙂

The somewhat full length mirror hanging on my plain wall.

If it wasn’t for my daily nescafe fix, my notes would look like crap as there’ll be little sperms all over the page. (ink blots that get flicked as I keep nodding off).

Lie Yuen was demonstrating to me what her brother used to do as a child with the laundry basket.

We are currently learning about oral biology and for every two students, there is a set of plastic teeth from Japan to be shared. This is so that we can study the shape of the tooth, the cusps, the ridges, the roots, the junction between the enamel and the dentin etc. But it’s good to camwhore with as well.

You know, one thing good about having a camera(and bringing it with you whereever you go), is that you do not have to slave away copying the diagrams and notes during the really rushed practical sessions! 🙂 Just snap snap with the 5 mega pixels camera and put it in the computer and voila, instant notes.

Brenda took this photo. This is a slide of our cardiac(heart) muscles.

One of our favourite past times:

Maxis, MaXIS, MAXIS.

Li Shen sleeping during sociology class.

It’s okay, it’s only sociology class. The book that you see is titled Geisha, A Life. Nothing to do with sociology.

A group shot after their presentation.

Even though we’re really tight on cash what with the price hike and all, I have this weird compulsion to spend meaninglessly on rubbish.

Anybody remember these capsulated toys?

Apparently they are Naruto weapons. To me, it’s just new keychains.

How about that? Old school coca cola bottle!

Last weekend, I was back in Subang for Justin’s birthday as well! Sorry for the late post, Justin! Was too caught up with other things. I’ve finally gotten around to uploading the pictures from his gathering.

Presenting Justin’s dog, Evo. Yep, trust the car freak to come up with such a name. 🙂 Really cute and light too!

I was hugging the dog too tightly and it started screaming. Really.

Actually, it was a joint birthday party for Justin and his 17 year old brother, Aaron. But Aaron left with a few of his friends and didn’t even stay around for the cake cutting session. Strange… somemore the cake wrote, “Happy birthday Justin and Aaron!”.

Before the cake cutting session, Chee Kiang and I went to the padang for some “catching up” since we haven’t seen each other for quite a while… then when we came back we kena scolded by Daryl from the end of the road(we were at the other end, walking back), “HOI!! Not your birthday la today!!! Go paktor during people’s birthday somemore!!!”

Pai seh wei.

Nice shot of the cake! Oh, and Justin too!

Behehehehhehehe.

Happy Belated Birthday, Justin!!

Check out Huini’s cool t-shirt!

It was just a small gathering for a few of his friends.. but it was good to catch up with these people. 🙂 it’s always good to catch up with old friends.

There’s a kitten living with the Lee household as well. How do cats and dogs live together???

Best friends somemore.
