Ramblings On A Rainy Day

Posted on January 7, 2007February 8, 2008 by Jolene

Struck down again my the flu bug. Nothing beats rolling the corner of a tissue paper and sticking it into my nostrils to make myself sneeze. Ahh.

*tickle tickle*

Perhaps one of the best ways to unclog my damn nose.

Besides, trying to study harder(haha..) nothing much is happening here for me. Just as everything else in kedah will always be. Ho hum. Got a folder of photos from that very expensive mexican dinner with the gang that I have yet to blog about. Patience, guys!

I now feel more cozy in my room as I have hung up the fairy lights that I have purchased from Ikea! They look so pretty, and with the aircon on, I feel so…I don’t know, happy! I’m going to hang photos from it when I find the time to take a selected few to develope. I can’t wait!! 😀 I’ve seen my friends making big huge beautiful collage of friends and family all over their walls and I want one just like that too. Just pray that I’ll be staying in this rented home until my 5 years are up. Don’t want my efforts to go to waste!

See!

And one with my camera phone.

Another gripe I have about my daily life here is the frequent staining of my clothes. Sure, it might be a good excuse to go shop for more clothes but when you love something, you don’t want to part with it. 🙁 I bought this top from Singapore for SGD11 from Bossini. Considered quite cheap already. And I remember looking high and low for an L since the M was too small and the XL one was just too loose. So sad!!! 🙁 It’s the water that is dirty because I washed this top on its own. Is there such a thing as a water filter that can be installed on the pipe that goes into the washing machine?

Any stain removal products that I can purchase from the supermarkets? Is this mud stain or grease stain?:(

I tried googling and apparently I should boil potatoes and then wash my clothes in the potato water. Right. I’m all about chemicals. Hardly one for the organic way of life. Which also explains my doubts about chinese herbal remedies.

So sad right. But i might still wear it to class.

And it’s coming along just fine! No more open bite. With the lecturers’ help, I managed to achieve satisfactory overjet(the extent of your upper teeth in front of the lower teeth) and overbite(self explanatory,no?). An ideal overjet should be about 2-3mm, as with an ideal overbite.

There was an article about Lasik eye surgery in the papers today. Lie Yuen and I were reading the article together while waiting for her dermatologist to tend to us(She’s on her way to achieving perfect skin!). I told her about my contemplation to get Lasik done when I’m older.

“I used to wear glasses when I was 8. Stopped in standard 6 and continued for a few months in form3. I had frameless glasses then!” I said.

“Why don’t want to wear then?” she asked.

“Haiyo, you also know what happened to my retainers lor, you think I won’t treat my glasses the same? I’ll be too lazy to wear it,” I pointed out the obvious. The Jolene Way Of Lifetm.

“It amazes me why you even bother to put clothes on in the morning,” she said.

I’m not THAT LAZY lah! LoL!
